Mr. Holger Roessner is the CEO of AdvanIDe Holdings Pte Ltd – Advanced ID Electronics and Managing Partner of IDentivest Partners Pte Ltd. He is an experienced entrepreneur in the field of secure identity, electronic governance, smart cities, transport and ticketing, IoT with a proven track record of more than 25 years in senior management positions in the smart card and secure ID industry. He is holding multiple related investments in Europe and Asia and participated in various IPOs and M&A transactions. Having started his career as Management/Sales Trainee at Siemens Semiconductor (today Infineon Technologies), Mr. Roessner moved from Europe to Asia in 1996, where he was the Business Manager Asia Pacific for Siemens Automation overlooking the sales and business development activities of the Siemens Identsystem division (MOBY ID, CardOS).
In 1998, Mr. Roessner joined ACG AG as Managing Partner and set-up the Asia Pacific operation of ACG, which grew to become the leading provider for ID and chip card semiconductors in Asia. In 2001 Mr. Roessner led a pre-IPO investment in ITE Holdings Ltd. (HK) as part of the ACG partner investment fund, which he exited in 2016 when he also ceased to be an independent advisor.
ACG was acquired by Swedish access solution provider ASSA ABLOY in 2003 and subsequently, in 2007, he was appointed the Global Managing Director for a newly created entity called AdvanIDe – Advanced ID Electronics. Within ASSA ABLOY, Mr. Roessner served as a member of the Executive Committee at HID Global from 2012 to 2017. HID is a global leader for secure identity solutions, headquartered in Austin, Texas.
In 2017, Mr. Roessner executed a management-buy-out of AdvanIDe, which led to the investment in the company by the Japan South-East Asia Growth Fund L.P.
In 2022, Mr. Roessner founded IDentivest Holdings Ltd, that acquired all shares of AdvanIDe from RISA and henceforth AdvanIDe has been fully employee and management owned.
During his studies, Mr. Roessner received scholarships from the HANNS-SEIDEL Foundation as well as Siemens AG. He graduated from the University of Applied Sciences in Schweinfurt, Germany, with degrees in Electrical Engineering/Information Technology and Business Administration & Engineering with numerous awards. He holds multiple patents with more pending.
Joseph serves as the CFO of AdvanIDe. Mr. Lian has a track record of more than 20 years in the finance industry. Having started his career as an auditor with Moores Rowland. Mr. Lian moved to join his client in the US as an Accountant for Glenmore Marine in the Oil & Gas Industry. Thereafter, he worked for Lifestyle Furnishings and moved to Schlumberger Industries, where he was responsible for the Group Consolidation in their Asia Pacific headquarters.
In 2002, Mr Lian joined ACG as a Finance Manager and moved to AdvanIDe, when ACG Distribution was spun off. He graduated from Nanyang Technological University of Singapore with a degree in Accountancy.
Timothy is the Chief Operating Officer of AdvanIDe Holdings Pte Ltd. He is a certified Productivity and Innovation Manager and LEAN Six Sigma and Business Process Re-engineering Implementer. He has a depth of experience in Information Technology, Human Talent Management, Strategic Planning, Corporate Restructuring, Risk Management, Real Estate Management, Corporate Secretariat and Financial Analytics, Compliance and Audit. In his past career, Mr. Ngui was the Chief Information Officer and also the Senior Vice President of GLG CORP LTD, an Australian Listed Company (GLE.AX) providing global textile and apparel solutions to customers from Fortune 500 companies. In early 2017, Mr. Ngui providing consultancy services to an arm of the Boston Consulting Group for Corporate Finance matters for a regional bank. Timothy keeps abreast of emerging technology trends and was twice engaged by Microsoft as a Keynote speaker and has also given a lecture on the future of wearable technology. Timothy holds a Degree in Professional Communication from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.
Segment Head – Secure Transactions (STR)
Joe holds the role of Segment Head for Secure Transactions focusing on Banking vertical. Joe has over 20 years in the chip card and RFID industry. Before joining AdvanIDe, he was Regional Business Development Manager with Matica Technologies and Regional Senior Sales Manager with NXP Semiconductors. He was involved in various activities including sales & marketing, business development, channel management, key account management and sales operations. Joe holds an Electronic Engineering Degree from University of Manchester & Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management.
Segment Head – Smart Mobility, Objects, Consumers & Secure Infrastructure (SMOC & SI)
Jason joins AdvanIDe in the role of Segment Head for Smart Mobility, Objects, Consumers & Secure Infrastructure focusing on AFC, RFID, NFC, and IOT verticals. Jason has over 15 years in the chip card and RFID industry and 8 years in the medical industry. Prior to joining AdvanIDe, he was in various roles in global key account and business development roles in the EMS field with a focus on medical device OEM and ODM services. Prior to his work in Medical, Jason was with NXP Semiconductors for over 10 years and has been involved in various roles including MIFARE marketing, and business development. Jason holds a marketing and finance degree from the University of Oklahoma.
Segment Head – Secure Identity (SID)
Ralf is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and management for the Secure ID segment and sets the strategy in this role. He defines detailed plans to drive profitable growth across the segment.
Prior to joining AdvanIDe, Ralf was Senior Vice President and Head of the Business Unit Government of Linxens. He was responsible for the leadership of a cross-functional team (operation, sales, R&D), P&L business plans, and customer relationships.
Prior to his work at Linxens, Ralf was with Smartrac in Thailand for over 10 years (various roles). He took over the position of Head of Business Unit Government in 2014.
Ralf also spent 4 years with Lucchesi as a Project Manager in Italy before joining Smartrac. As a Senior Project Manager, he was responsible for designing, building and commissioning a manufacturing plant for coated films.
Overall, Ralf has more than 20 years of experience in the identification industry, mainly related to Government products.
Senior Regional Sales Director – Americas
Ken has more than 30 years of experience in semiconductor and systems development environments. He has managed direct, representative and distribution sales organizations in both start up and “big company” environments in the Americas and globally. He is a past member of the board of technical advisors for the RFID laboratory at Middlesex College, and has spoken publicly on the development of RFID as both a technology and a market at industry, government, and educational forums in that capacity. Ken is also a past member of the MIT Enterprise forum of Cambridge and a member of the forum’s RFID Special Interest Group.
Regional Sales Director – India/Middle East
Rajesh Tawde, being Regional Sales Director for India/Middle East/Africa, is overall responsible for “Sales and Customer Relationship Management” in the South Asia, Middle East and Africa Region for AdvanIDe. Being an Engineering Graduate, Rajesh has over 20+ years of experience in strategy planning, profit centre operations, product development/ management, business development, sales & marketing, key account management and channel management in the Smart Card and RFID solutions/IT industry. Prior to joining AdvanIDe in 2006, Rajesh has worked for some of the most reputed Smartcard / RFID focused companies like CMS Computers Ltd, iSmart International Ltd and Dyna Link Pvt Ltd in India at middle / senior management level. With continuous experience in Smartcard and RFID since 1998, Rajesh brings to AdvanIDe his passion about the industry along with sound knowledge of the products and market segments.
Senior Regional Sales Director – Europe & Central Asia
Frank has more than 18 years experience in the Smart Card and Identification industry. He re-joined AdvanIDe in 2018 after working with NXP Semiconductors (formerly known as Philips Semiconductors) as Head of Global Alliances Payment interacting with Banks, Payment Network Operators and innovative System Integrators. Before joining NXP Frank had been with AdvanIDe already serving as Sales Director Europe from 2009 until 2013. Before moving to AdvanIDe in 2009 he had been working as a Managing Director at BCDS, an Assa Abloy owned System Integrator in Sydney, Australia. Frank started his career in the Semiconductor industry in 2000 when he joined ACG in Wiesbaden, Germany holding various positions in Sales and Distribution. Frank holds a degree as Master of Management from Macquarie Graduate School for Management in Sydney, Australia and a degree in business administration from Verwaltungs- und Wirtschafts-Akademie Wiesbaden/Giessen.
Senior Regional Sales Director – Asia Pacific & Strategic Business
Mark has more than 20 years experience in the Smart Card and Identification industry. He joined AdvanIDe in 2008 as Sales Manager – ASEAN after working with Infineon Technologies as Regional Sales & Business Development Manager serving various key customers in SE Asia in the Smart Card & RFID segments. Prior to that, Mark held various sales & business development positions with MNCs in the Payment & Loyalty Program segment including setting up a Loyalty Program Management company with partners. Mark holds an Electrical & Electronic Engineering Degree from Nanyang Technological University & Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management.
Regional Sales Director – P. R. China
Wang Kang has more than 18 years of experience in the Smart Card and Identification industry. Before joining AdvanIDe, he was a Regional Senior Sales and Business Development Manager with WPG and a Regional Sales Manager with Synergy (Flyring). Wang Kang has been with AdvanIDe for over 10 years and has grown the business in China with his close customer focus, product knowledge, and client network. He has instrumented the growth and success of AdvanIDe over the decade. Wang Kang holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Beijing Jiaotong University and a Computer Science and Technology degree from Wuhan University of Technology.
Senior Regional Sales Director – Latin America
Alejandro joined AdvanIDe in 2011 as Sales Manager Latin America focusing on Government, Banking and AFC segments. After his graduation from the Catholic University of Uruguay (Degree in Business Administration) he worked for fifteen years managing and developing international business in the ID market segments in his geography, spending part of his previous positions based in Montevideo, Uruguay and Buenos Aires, Argentina. With his vast experience in the Latin-American region Mr. Placitelli brings a high level of channel development knowledge.
